Invasive Species
There are two types of species: specialists and generalists. Generalists can survive on many food sources and in many places, while specialists need very specific living conditions. Sometimes, a generalist will come into a specialist's ecosystem and eat the specialist's food. That generalist is called an invasive species.

The Kudzu is a highly invasive species of plants that is wreaking havoc all over the United States. It takes over ecosystems, eating up sunlight, water, and space.
